As one of the oldest golf clubs in the West of England (founded in 1882) and one of the six founder members of the Somerset Golf Union (1907), Minehead is justly proud of it’s links - the oldest club in Somerset still playing on its original course. The greens are as good, winter or summer, as you will find anywhere. At 6153 yards, the par of 71 represents a true test of golf for the scratch golfer as well as the novice. The course is set in magnificent countryside with views to the north across the Bristol Channel to South Wales, and to the south, the sweeping Brendon Hills and Exmoor National Park.
