As one of the oldest golf clubs in the West of England (founded in 1882), Minehead is justly proud of its course, which combines the best of links and some characteristics of parkland golf. The greens are as good, winter or summer, as you will find anywhere. At
6153 yards, the par of 71 represents a true test of golf for the scratch golfer as well as the novice. The course is set in magnificent countryside with views to the north across the Bristol Channel to South Wales, and to the south, the sweeping Brendon Hills and Exmoor National Park.
