| Bristol and Clifton
Golf Club is a good old fashioned members’ club.
With fairway watering and a really keen green
staff the course is kept to a condition which
can only be matched by very few clubs. In
addition the Club has practice facilities which
include driving bays, chipping, pitching and
putting greens, practice bunkers and a full area
where members and visitors may hit their own
balls. Utilising the aesthetics and hazards of a
former quarry, a valley, stone walls and
spinneys of trees, the course is a stern
challenge but one always in the most glorious of
condition - due in summer to the irrigation and
in winter to the natural draining land upon
which it is situated. Par threes from 120 to 220
yards, dog-legs which range from the gentle to
the brutal and a collection of natural obstacles
and hazards add to the charm of this
lovingly-maintained layout. Visitors are always
very welcome. The course can be set up to your
particular needs and packages can be tailored to
suit requirements. |
